An experienced communicator with a passion for connections and process improvement. Missy received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas Christian University. She spent the beginning of her career evolving communications to align with operational processes at Pier One Imports corporate. By tracking sales data related to company internal messages her abilities to drive system goals was stumbled upon. Missy transitioned to collaborate with operational leadership supporting sales initiatives by interpreting the pulse of consumer facing employees. With a calling for health care she started at Cook Children’s Health Care System in 2007 as a communicator and grew through many roles aligning goals and messages. Each developed her to appreciate the culture, and critical importance of having internal and external customer voices at the table. By fulfilling opportunities to grow social media and online reputation with a service recovery movement, she was employed to serve as a patient experience leader. Currently, she empowers a team of champions for elevating the Cook Children’s experience through people, process and technology. Using her certification as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt she unites front line staff, administrators, care providers and parent advisors to align on common goals and processes to make meaningful improvements for patient families.
