Position Description
The Patient Advocacy Community Newsletter Work Group Volunteers support the community through bi-monthly production of the Patient Advocacy Newsletter. Content includes but is not limited to:

  • PAC Leadership Messages
  • Upcoming PAC Events
  • Patient Advocacy Related Updates as appropriate
  • Identified Patient Advocacy Resources¬†
Essential Functions
  • Identify content of interest to patient advocacy community including; upcoming events (webinars, connection calls), short articles of interest, any pertinent regulatory/policy information
  • Provide copy for Patient Advocacy Community Newsletter including but not limited to leadership message
  • Submit to The Beryl Institute who will create and distribute newsletter via email to Patient Advocacy Community members
  • Current member of The Beryl Institute
  • Current member of the Patient Advocacy Community
  • Some background in the field of patient advocacy
  • Interest in newsletter content development
Time Commitment
Monthly one-hour teleconference meetings. Some work will be done by email.

Patient Advocacy Community Newsletter Work Group Volunteers
  • Have an opportunity to guide the direction of the Patient Advocacy Community by proving content and updates to keep the community informed

  • Utilize and highlight newsletter development skills
  • Have the opportunity for career development
  • Gain visibility for themselves and their organization
  • Share their experience and expertise giving back to the patient experience community
