Based on My experiences and my health journey, developing a sudden life-threatening health issues for myself and my unborn son in 2011. Then my baby son was diagnosed with life-threatening cancer. My family navigated seven hospitals in two states and three health systems, I established a website to support others on their journey through the health system. My interest is for everyone but I bring a rural lens to all activity’s and actions within Health. This has afforded me a great deal of experience, understanding and empathy for people and their communities. Within these last 10 years I have worked as a volunteer to help people navigate through Hospitals and Health facilities. I have worked as an advocate, care coordinator, project manager and planner and on many occasion have fought hard to achieve a better outcome for people. Within these positions I have networked with many service providers, including, Private, State and Federal Government and not for profit organizations’. Utilizing these different services to provide a holistic and better health pathway.
